State economist Carl Riccadonna offered a mixed outlook on Oregon’s economy at a talk at Lakewood Center for the Arts on Monday, Jan.
5. He said lower interest rates and the tech+boom may boost growth in 2026, though concerns remain over slow population growth and shifting jobs.
🏈 Sports
The Portland Winterhawks traded veteran defenseman Carter Sotheran to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Tuesday in exchange for a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 fourth-round pick and veteran blueliner Niko Tsakumis.
Sotheran played four seasons with the team and was a key presence in playoff runs.
