Lawmakers in Oregon are considering a bill today to legalize lane filtering that would let motorcyclists ride between vehicles in heavy stop-and-go traffic.

The proposed bill, nearly identical to one vetoed in 2021, would let riders travel up to 10 mph faster than traffic and raise fines for improper passing to a Class A misdemeanor with a 2000 fine—if enacted—.
