  • The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde have asked Gov. Tina Kotek to delay funding for the Willamette Falls Trust's plan to acquire about 50 acres near the falls for an Inter-Tribal Public Access Project—this request comes amid ongoing disputes over fishing rights and tribal history.  West Linn Tidings
  • Oregon lawmakers must pass a funding package for ODOT soon and state officials warn that if the bill fails to pass, essential transportation projects may be delayed—road maintenance could suffer. This decision may affect local travel and daily commutes.  KGW

HEALTH NEWS

  • An adult who returned from international travel was hospitalized with measles on June 19 and confirmed as Oregon’s first 2025 case on June 23, and is now recovering. Health officials said the patient visited multiple public places—such as a Safeway in Lake Oswego—where people might have been exposed and urged anyone with symptoms to call a health care provider.  KGW
