- ➤ The Blazers introduced 7—foot—1 center Yang Hansen from China to Portland on Friday. He was drafted 16th after two years of scouting and played last season for the Qingdao Eagles while saying he likes to play PS5 and sleep as he learns his new role. KGW
- ➤ The president of Portland’s new WNBA team left her job last Friday as confirmed by RAJ Sports—she helped set up the early business operations—and the team will begin play in 2026 at Moda Center with its name and logo to be revealed on July 15. KPTV
- ➤ Chinese center Yang Hansen (drafted 16th overall) met with the media in Tualatin on Friday morning (with his interpreter present) after he was selected by the Trail Blazers. KPTV
