CRIME NEWS

  • Matthew Evan Armour, 33, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated theft and other charges—he was sentenced to 55 months in prison for using a stolen excavator to break into a bank ATM in Clackamas County last Friday.  KPTV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Clackamas County is updating its emergency response system after the 2020 wildfires showed that too many residents left low-risk areas and caused heavy road traffic. Director Daniel Nibouar said new GIS-based mapping and defined evacuation zones will improve alert accuracy for future emergencies — the effort follows public input on past response issues.  West Linn Tidings
  • Oregon joined California, Washington and Hawaii to form a West Coast Health Alliance that will make new vaccine guidelines breaking from CDC rules. Governor Kotek said the alliance will finish shared plans in coming weeks—helping keep vaccines free with no out-of-pocket cost.  KGW
