Good morning, Lake Oswego. Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 9th of September.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Stafford Hamlet residents met on Sept 6 at Fiala Farms to discuss the two-year construction project on Stafford Road that is disrupting local businesses and school bus routes. They learned that Childs Road will close on Oct 1 and parts of the road will reopen only by May 2026 — residents want careful planning to keep the area true to its rural roots.  West Linn Tidings

HEALTH NEWS

  • Gov. Tina Kotek and the Oregon Health Authority are looking at a standing order like Washington's to make sure people can get COVID-19 vaccines easily at pharmacies amid new federal rules—this step may help clear up confusion. The Oregon Board of Pharmacy said clearer federal guidelines may not come until mid-September—so residents should ask their provider about the 2025-26 vaccine.  West Linn Tidings
