- ➤ ODOT is quickly hiring seasonal and permanent staff for winter road maintenance after the transportation bill passed and a hiring freeze left hundreds of positions open—this effort includes accepting applicants without experience and offering training while the State Senate will soon vote on a bill that raises registration fees to fund upcoming road work. - ➤ Gov. Tina Kotek announced COVID-19 vaccine rules two weeks ago and some lawmakers questioned if Oregon moved fast enough to secure access. State Sen.
