- ➤ A report from Portland State University found 12,034 people were recorded as homeless in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties in 2025—a 61% increase from 7,482 in 2023 due to improved survey methods and increased shelter use. Local officials will use the data to guide future funding and service planning for those in need. KGW
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ On Nov. 3, Clackamas County opened its stabilization center at 9200 SE McBrod Ave. in Milwaukie to offer 24-hour help for people facing panic attacks, hallucinations and other mental health issues—while also providing transitional housing for those experiencing homelessness and reducing the need for jails or emergency rooms. The center supports those with anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviors. West Linn Tidings
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ On November 4, the West Linn girls soccer team beat Nelson by a score of 5 to 2 in the Class 6A state playoffs at West Linn High School, extending its unbeaten streak to 14 games and raising its record to 13 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties. The Lions will face Lake Oswego on November 8—hoping to carry their strong play into the next round. West Linn Tidings
- ➤ Olivia Moultrie signed a contract extension with the Portland Thorns through 2029 after a breakout season that helped her team overcome many injuries. The 20-year-old midfielder scored eight goals this season (including two games where she scored twice) and was named Supporters’ Player of the Year (by the fans). KGW
